The museum, run by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York, is dedicated to the history of public transport and is located in an old Brooklyn subway station from the 1930s, Court Street station.
The collection includes old railway signs, entrance turnstiles, maps, equipment and other items that date back to the late 1800s. In addition, on the lower level, where there were the tracks of the station, are exposed carriages and wagons of the subway, some of which are from 1903.
