Founded in 1973 by Bette Korman as a neighborhood organization to help bring the arts to public schools in New York, the museum offers exhibitions, interactive exhibits, lectures and performances that relate art, science and humanities. It is designed for children and young people from six months to 12 years old, but also offers ideas and tips to adults with professional development for parents, educators, childcare providers.
