Built between 1929 and 1931 in Gothic style with Art Deco decorations on the basis of the project by architects John Walter Cross and Eliot Cross of Cross & Cross studio, it is 200 meters high and has 50 floors and was originally called RCA Victor Building. The lines of the skyscraper were designed in such a way as not to contrast the figure of St. Bartholomew's Church, which was right behind it, and for this reason the same colour of brick was used. The top is decorated with a crown in travertine perforated in Gothic style.
