Costruito in stile Beaux-Arts tra il 1905 e il 1909, su disegno degli architetti Francis Laurens Vinton Hoppin (1866-1941) e Terence A. Koen (1858-1923), l’edificio ha un ingresso sovrastato da un colonnato in stile corinzio e una cupola che lo domina. Fu la sede del quartier generale della polizia di New York fino al 1973. Nel 1988 fu convertito in un condominio di appartamenti di lusso su progetto dello studio di architettura Ehrenkrantz Eckstut & Kuhn Architects.
